Mortgage Talk
Consists of in-depth 45-50 minute interviews with over 80 top originators (all who would easily rank within the top one-half of one percent nationally). Each interview, conducted by MortgageScholar president John Ondrick, employs essentially the same format: Where do you come from? How did you become successful? What do you do, specifically, that enables you to be successful on a consistent basis?

Mortgage Talk - Questions
Many originators expressed an interest in posing questions to the guests to get their answers, ideas and opinions about specific areas of the industry. John Ondrick has responded, as part of an ongoing process, to initially target 10 specific areas of interest such as Condos, New Homes, Realtors and Affinity groups. Each of the 14 topical interviews in this module was answered by 6 to 7 top national originators… one right after the other.

Sales Talk
Consists of both interviews and stand-alone discussions by industry and non-industry experts, none of whom directly originate loans. Each interview lasts approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Over 60 experts were initially vetted to reach a final tally of 10 participants covering 14 topics. Each topic has as its only goal delivering information and ideas that will increase sales production. Five participants are nationally recognized industry and non-industry consultants. Two have unique technical expertise of great value to loan originators and managers in such areas as database management (ACT!), call capture and voice and fax broadcasting.

Regional Manager Mortgage Talk
Consists of 45 to 50 minute in-depth interviews with those who are believed to be the top 25 Regional Managers in the Industry. Only those recommended by their peers are eligible to be interviewed. Over half of 25 interviews are currently available. The remaining 11 will be added as they are completed.

The President's/CEO's Corner
John Ondrick will be conducting a series of in-depth interviews with as many of the top 15 ranked Mortgage Banking President's/CEO's as are willing to participate. They will be made available as they are completed. "The Corner" was inaugurated with a wonderful interview with the President and CEO of SunTrust Mortgage, Sterling Edmunds.

Top Performance Mortgage Talk
John thinks you will agree that many, if not the great majority, of those potential candidates who may want to enter the origination field 'haven't a clue where to start'. Most of the loan originators interviewed invariably said they just 'stumbled' into the profession! This module consists of interviews with 5 top retail executives and producers to uncover their in-depth views on what managers look for in their top producers. In addition, two Mortgage Banking Presidents, who were legendary producers in their own right, give an overall comprehensive view of the Mortgage Banking industry. John Ondrick then weighs in with a homage to the value of annuity incomes, titled "The Best Years of My Life".

The Consultants Corner
The goal of this module is to perform a small series of interviews with the very elite group of consultants who operate in the retail origination Mortgage Banking milieu. First up was the great Pat Sherlock, President of QFS Consulting. Others will be added as they become available.
